The Service List Registry is responsible for the collection of registry fees to account for the cost of providing the registration and discovery service.
The published registry fees are established in agreement with the HbbTV Association on fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory terms.
The fees do not reflect the value of the entries but are intended to offset some of the costs of administering, allocating and regulating the use of these entries, as well as the cost of resolving the DNS requests and associated operational expenses, including support and maintenance.
Fees are reviewed annually, and a minimum notice period of 6 months will be provided for any change in fees.
An initial identify confirmation fee is charged per organisation and allows for up to three authorised representatives per organisation.
Identity confirmation is free of charge for HbbTV Association Members where the identity of the requesting party can be validated from existing HbbTV records.
An annual registration fee is charged for each distinct organisation irrespective of the number of records for that organisation. An organisation may request one or more distinct record registrations.
An organisation may only request registrations on its own behalf or for a legal entity under its control. Registrations are not otherwise transferable and any change to an organisation record will be charged for as a new record registration.
Requests for changes to records, including additions, modifications, or removals are charged for as a new record registration.

Discounts are available for registration periods longer than a year purchased in advance, which also locks in current prices.
2 years — 10% discount
3 years — 20% discount
5 years — 30% discount
Fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable.
Registrations are subject to renewal annually in advance of the anniversary of the registration date.
Renewals of any registration after any Grace Period will be subject to an additional Penalty Fee of €500.
The Service List Registry will provide optional additional services by prior agreement on written request.
Additional services will be charged on a cost-recovery time and materials basis at our standard day rate.
A standard day is 8 business hours and is charged in minimum units of a half day.
An estimate will be provided for requested work prior to commencement.
